NEW YORK – Fair, an extension of the Field + Supply market showroom that consists of a curated selection of artisans and designers, recently added a new furniture designer to its roster, Brian Persicoas well as some of his new creations.
Located in the New York Design Center, Fair was founded by interior designer Brad Ford to showcase high-end, handcrafted design. Persico joined Fair this year, introducing three new handmade items: the Windham Stool ($2,900), the Step Stool ($1,050), and the Half Moon Table ($2,300).
“Some of the people we represent are kind of taking historical skills and modernizing things from another era, and Brian is rooted in traditional skills and aesthetics,” Ford said. “That Shaker style, the details and the way everything is put together is so beautiful and precise.”

Persico studied design at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, after making a dining table for his senior year project that launched his career in furniture design. He now has his own studio in the Catskills of New York where he makes all of his pieces by hand, with durability being key to his work.
“My whole philosophy in designing furniture is that it doesn’t tax the earth, it can completely rot in the earth without using synthetic materials,” Persico told Furniture Today. “Sustainability is so important in design, it adds a lot of value to the piece to be able to take that moral weight off of people, to give them something that’s completely organic.”
