60-year-old Laura Ann McGlynn (Coughlin) of Farmingdale, NJ passed away peacefully on June 27, 2022 after a short illness. Laura was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ where she attended Our Lady of Mercy School. Laura then attended the Holy Family Academy in Bayonne, then graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Where she earned a degree in Advertising Design in which she had a fulfilling career. Laura moved to Belmar, NJ in 1985 with her family. After meeting her husband, Kevin, and starting her own family, she then applied her creativity to various positions in floral design, customer service at Milagro Spa in Manasquan, and was further proud to recently begin her latest career as as a real estate agent with BHHS Fox & Roach Spring Lake. Laura loved the Jersey Shore where she often walked the boardwalk and sat on the beach. It was there that she met the love of her life, Kevin McGlynn, one night at the Parker House in Sea Girt. Four years later, in 1988, Laura and Kevin were married in Belmar. Laura and Kevin lived in Bayonne until 1992 when they moved to Farmingdale to raise their three children, Alanna, Brenda and Connor. Laura’s children were her life and she was always their biggest cheerleader and supporter. She was the most encouraging dance and football mom and never missed a game or competition where she cheered them on vivaciously. Laura was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and visited Ireland many times over the years. She was active in the Bayonne Irish community and honored to have been chosen as the 1992 Irishwoman of the Year by the Bayonne Irish American League. Laura was also a strong supporter of the Tunnels to Tower Foundation. Laura was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Edward Coughlin as well as her sister, Michele Coughlin and her brother-in-law, William Powell. Laura is survived by her husband Kevin, her children: Alanna, Brenda and Connor, her sisters: Linda Powell, Charlotte Coughlin and Alicia (Chris) Piccinnini, and her dear Uncle Joe and Aunt Linda Coughlin.
