Now made from water with Pacific minerals, SKYY® Vodka is relaunched with an innovative new twist liquid and modern packaging design
The iconic brand’s global relaunch once again breaks category standards with modernized packaging and award-winning liquid designed to elevate the vodka soda experience and give Canadians a taste of coastal freshness with every sip.
TORONTO, June 28, 2021 / CNW / – With its launch in San Francisco in 1992, SKYY® redefined vodka as the world knew it, helping to launch a state-of-the-art quadruple distillation and triple filtration production process, producing a superior, smooth tasting vodka with one of the lowest levels of impurities lower among his peers. Fueled by the progressive thinking of its hometown and respect for the naturalness of the Pacific coast along which the city nestles, premium vodka has returned to its roots to again break the standards of the category with the latest evolution of its award-winning formula. liquid and new raised packaging.
In formulating this refreshment, SKYY recognized an opportunity to evolve their liquid for a new generation of Canadian vodka drinkers who gravitate towards lighter, cooler drinks, with sparkling water emerging as the # 1 mixer.1, and who choose brands with authentic stories linked to their place of origin. Supported by these learnings and driven by constant attention to detail and a commitment to quality, what started as one man’s mission to create the perfect martini has now evolved to include the pursuit of better vodka and soda.
Now made using water with Pacific minerals and filtered through California limestone, the new version of SKYY liquid is intended to improve the mouthfeel and fresh taste of vodka and soda. It’s the basis for a best tasting vodka and soda that embodies the naturalness and spirit of SKYY’s birthplace – the city’s courage and determination matched by the easy energy of the coast. Peaceful.
Because SKYY believes that when we do things together, we go further, the brand brought together a diverse collective of experts, including a water sommelier, chemist and professional bartender to create this liquid reboot with natural elements found in coastal waters. Together, they discovered the unique and superior touch that Pacific minerals could add to vodka. The result is a fresh, crisp liquid on the nose with a hint of toasted fruit and grains, paired with a clean, smooth taste on the palate, designed to add character to any cocktail experience and pair perfectly with sparkling water. and a grapefruit. twist – the SKYY signature.
The praise for SKYY’s liquid has already started to flow. It was recently rated Exceptional by the Beverage Testing Institute (BTI), receiving a gold medal (90 points). BTI is a prestigious and independent private company that organizes professional blind tastings of drinks. SKYY also received a gold medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition – one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious competitions of its kind – and a gold medal (94 points) in the New York International Spirits Competition.
SKYY’s renewed packaging design is also inspired by that of San Francisco natural character. The new bottle features a sophisticated and elegant appearance with a lighter, more natural blue tone, ripples and ridges that reflect the waves of the Pacific Ocean, and a redesigned white logo. This new packaging design is a natural progression of the SKYY brand, with a more upscale expression that retains the key elements of the original iconic blue bottle.
“At SKYY, we saw sparkling water emerge as the best blender and quickly recognized the opportunity to transform the vodka category again by offering Canadian consumers something truly unique and in direct response to their evolved preferences. for lighter, cleaner and fresher products. drink tasting ”, says Melanie Batchelor, Managing Director of Campari Group Canada. “Together with our collective of experts, we have created a liquid that is expressed through all the elements of our brand.
