Elsa Hosk’s Favorite Exercise Can Be Done At Home
Finding time to take care of yourself can be extremely difficult, but try adding a baby to the mix and you will find it even more difficult. But if there’s one thing the world has learned in these difficult times, it’s that taking care of yourself is crucial. This is precisely why model Elsa Hosk’s wellness routine includes acupuncture appointments in her backyard and virtual training classes. In other words, she prioritizes time for herself, even when it seems nearly impossible as a new mom on a full-time work schedule.
Hosk and her longtime boyfriend, Tom Daly, welcomed their first child, Tuulikki Joan Daly, on February 11. “Named after two strong women, my mother and my mother-in-law, you came into this world as a super woman with your fist next to your face.”
But if you’ve been following the Swedish native for some time, you know she’s the queen of balancing work and personal life with grace. That said, one of her most recent efforts is to partner with an “open studio for community-driven beauty,” Beaubble. This fall, she will unveil a line of water-based nail polish with the company. “They share my love for color, design, durability and effortless everyday beauty,” Hosk told TZR. of the partnership. “I feel so confident in everything we create. “
Hosk’s partnership with Beaubble is another addition to his ever-growing resume. Over the years she has worked with countless brands including (but certainly not limited to) Dior, H&M, Lily Pulitzer and Guess. Likewise, she has walked the biggest catwalks in the world and made countless magazine covers.
Upcoming, Hosk discusses her creative partnership with Beaubble, what wellness looks like for her as a new mom, and the workout routine she enjoys right now.

Congratulations on your partnership with Beaubble! Can you tell us more about what you are going to create?
We create three products together. The first is nail polish, but not just regular nail polish. I can’t reveal more than that, but follow my stories and soon there will be more information on what makes this first drop so special. Beaubble is very much in touch with the beauty world by creating innovative formulas and following beauty trends, so it’s exciting to test the creations. I am blown away by what these products do. I’m someone who doesn’t like to just put my name on something; I want whatever I do to be the best. It has to be fresh and exciting and, of course, beat what is already there.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?
Feed my baby. I’m doing this half asleep because she wakes up at 6 in the morning. I was always afraid of having to get up early, but it was surprisingly easy. I’ve never been a morning person, but it’s crazy how you automatically adjust once you have a baby that depends on you.
When you have the chance to treat yourself, what do you do?
At the moment, I feel like I don’t have a lot of time to indulge myself because, between working full time, taking care of Tuulikki and being in the middle of a renovation, there is simply no more time. for me. Still, I know taking care of yourself is so important to being the best in me. I love having Emma, my acupuncturist, come and sit in the garden and have a long 90-minute session. Acupuncture is something that relaxes me deeply, and I also feel the results for a while afterward. I feel so different after a session; my body doesn’t feel any aches or pains, and it’s just fluid and balanced.
What are you listening to these days?
Kanye’s new album. People can say whatever they want about Kanye, but I’ve always been a fan of his music and his brand too. I think he’s a creative genius.
One thing you cannot live without is …
Tuuli, of course! She is all my heart and my life. With each passing day, I love her even more. Since she was born, I have been with her every day, so we really have such a strong bond. Even though she can’t speak yet, I feel like I know exactly what she is saying, how she feels and what she wants. It’s really cool.
Where do you dream of traveling? Why?
I dream of a vacation in the Maldives. I’ve been there when I was younger for a shoot and would love to bring my family as soon as possible. There is something about being so far from it all in a place where there is not much to do. Usually I’m the adventure vacation type. I don’t like lying around the pool for hours. I prefer to explore, surf, run or shop. But right now, with life so busy and crazy, I want a calm, quiet and super cold [atmosphere].
What’s your favorite secret weapon when you want to look and feel great?
Frankly, good makeup. I am excited about my collaboration with Beaubble because the products are perfect everyday makeup products, no makeup, inspired by everyday life. I was so excited to create beauty products with my community and everyone who follows me to join this collaboration. The theme of collaboration is all about connecting and celebrating the small, everyday pleasures of life.
Do you have a favorite workout / wellness practice?
Love the online classes right now, especially Megan Roup from The Sculpt Society. Also, I love Forma Pilates if I can make it to the studio. When the lockdown started, I really got into online classes, especially since Megan (my pre-COVID trainer) launched her app around this time. It was very helpful to me throughout my pregnancy. I practiced in my living room and, once we moved to LA, in the backyard. After giving birth, I took a long break and still haven’t fully gotten into my routine. I’m still learning to balance everything and take care of myself too. After putting [my baby] in bed at night, I always take a long bath with oils or salts. It’s one of my favorite routines.
What’s the best relationship advice you’ve ever received?
So simple, but always be kind to each other and don’t take your partner for granted. Always surprise yourself with compassion and cute little acts of love. I think cuteness can go a long way – it’s so underrated.
What’s a healthy meal that you always cook / order?
Oh, my favorite thing to do is something we call the health plaque. It contains quinoa, pickled beets, sweet potatoes, mixed lettuce or kale, halloumi, and roasted tomatoes. Tom did this for me during my pregnancy, and I think that’s why Tuuli got so big and healthy. She weighed almost nine pounds when she came out, haha!
Do you remember your first big madness? Do you still have it?
Yes, it was a pair of Marc Jacobs boots in slime green suede with silver buckles and a small heel. I would really like to have them again. I bought them in Sweden with my first salary.
What is that little stress-relieving luxury that you only swear at home?
Get my hair cut at home and not have to go to the salon. And do my own nails. It saves a lot of time and is also fun if you have a great product.
What are you saving for now?
The renovation of our study house in LA. This is my dream project. I have renovated two apartments in my life, but this is the first time that I have made a house. We fell in love with this Richard Neutra house during my pregnancy. I wanted nature and greenery, and this house was. It’s surrounded by so many trees and has those huge sliding glass windows that open up and feel like you’re outside.
One thing you want to go back and tell your young self?
Never compare yourself to anyone, you are unique.
