Decorating Den Interiors Achieves 34% Increase in Retail Sales

Despite ongoing challenges from Covid-19 and new supply chain difficulties, Decorating Den Interiors franchisees achieved a second consecutive year of record sales growth. Retail sales were 34% higher than the previous year, an increase of 18% compared to 2019.
“The heightened attention to the home has sparked a huge increase in remodeling and decorating projects,” said James S. Bugg, Jr. CEO and President of the Easton, Maryland-based company. “With all the concerns and challenges encountered over the past two years, I am very proud of the resilience and professionalism of our interior design business owners.”
“Our top ten U.S. franchises as well as our top owner in Canada recorded total sales in 2021 that were 66% higher than in 2020.” Bug added. “Many of our franchisees had their best year ever in 2021.”
The company added 29 new franchise partners during the year. Seven of the newer ones received a discount on franchise fees due to their previous education and experience in interior design, and two received the financial benefit of being military veterans.
“These accomplishments and those noted below are proof of a strong home furnishings market,” Bugg said. “With over $7 trillion in inheritance expected to be passed on by baby boomers in the near future and 35-54 year olds becoming the biggest spenders on furnishings, we are well positioned to participate.”
The company has announced the following individual sale prices.
