The affordable housing lottery was launched for The Deermar, a new 11-story development at 262 9th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Designed by NA Design Studio with interiors by Whitehall Interiors and developed by Ranco Capital, the structure yields 72 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect, 22 units for residents at 130% of area median income (AMI), whose eligible income ranges from $78,858 to $187,330.
Amenities include pet-friendly policies, dog park, communal laundry room, gym and yoga studio, personal storage, lobby with doorman, parcel lockers, bike lockers, a shared workspace, a library, a billiard room, a garden room and a landscaped roof terrace with outdoor kitchen, living room, dining room and sunbathing area. Units are equipped with ample closet space, brand name kitchen appliances, counters and finishes and hardwood floors.
At 130% of the AMI, there are five studios with a monthly rent of $2,300 for incomes ranging from $78,858 to $138,840; ten T1s with a monthly rent of $2,800 for incomes ranging from $96,000 to $156,130; and seven two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,344 for incomes ranging from $114,652 to $187,330.
Prospective tenants must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Nominations should be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 8, 2022.
